Linus Gitahi, the CEO of Kenya’s Nation Media Group, is an avid running enthusiast. As a Kenyan, does Linus Gitahi have an edge on the rest of us? According to journalist John Manners, Kenyans have evolved into the great runners they are today because of their herding lifestyle. Because they had no horses, the Kenyans had to develop the ability to run extremely fast to herd and catch stray cattle.
Add that to their nutritional and training regimen, and you have the makings of the fastest runners on earth. I suppose the rest of us will just have to try and catch up!
