It is Better to Give Than to Receive, says Frank Hanna

moneyinhandIn these tough economic times, one of the first things to go is our charitable giving. According to philanthropist Frank Hanna, this may be to our detriment. He asserts that it is in our nature to give and that when we give, good things come back to us.

Frank Hanna‘s Catholic faith is the basis for this belief; however, almost all faiths share this same principle. It is something that most successful businessmen learn early. Donald Trump, in fact, gives a large portion of his income to various charities every year, sometimes in secret. Actor Will Smith reportedly gave $1.3 million dollars to charities last year.

Is it that they can give large amounts because of their success? Or are they successful because of their giving? Frank Hanna would answer the latter.

United American Insurance Company

oldmanWhile the United American Insurance Company began in 1947, it began focusing on senior citizens in 1966 when Medicare was signed into law, a decision that has proven to be a wise one.  United American Insurance Company’s dedication to values such as service and quality have made it one of the nation’s top providers.

Of their quality benefits, I believe that their “Guaranteed Renewability” is one of the most valuable. The United American Insurance Company guarantees that your policy cannot be canceled or non-renewed as long as you pay your premiums on time.

Amos Tamam Brings Convenience to Taxi Travel

taxisWe’ve all been there. You hail a taxi because you are late for an engagement of some sort. When the taxi arrives, you rummage through your purse or pocket only to realize that you have no cash! Amos Tamam, CEO of Veriphone Transportation Systems, has been instrumental in developing a solution!

Amos Tamam got his start servicing taxi cabs, and eventually worked his way to his current position as CEO. As such, he has helped to develop a system in which you can use your credit card to pay for a taxi ride. This comes none too soon in my opinion. We have the ability to pay for bus and train tickets with credit cards – why not taxis?

So next time you hop into a taxi with no cash – you have Amos Tamam to thank!
